Yesterday I took my block to the other machine shop in town, met the machinist he's a nice old guy. He had me take my stuff back to the shop I work & cut my main caps because he didn't want to mess with the roll pins I put in. I had never done that before, so I was a little bit spazzed out lol.
I will take it back there today and hopefully get the thing back before Christmas

Forgive me if I missed something. What is the other machine shop doing to the block?

Merry Christmas if we don't connect via text :D Keep up the good work!!

Hey Jeremiah, they're doing the line hone, since I messed up my stuff trying to clean up some cap walk junky looking crap.
We don't have a line hone here, just line boring bar.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Well I guess I'll do another update, line hone is done. One of the last things I have to do is put my block in the surfacer and shave a little more off the china walls, to much tedious work with a grinder and file lol.

Okay, moving right along.
I was able to get my block into the surfacer, very tight fit and it was maxed out on cutter height.
Well I only had to correct my grinder and file work by .008 before I cut the china walls down an additional .020 so I have a head bolt hole to helicoil and double check lots of stuff and get it cleaned up for assembly.

Okay, I did a little clean up on my bore notch , chamber shrouding. Checked my main bearing clearance with the new line hone and it is great.
Went though the block as meticulously as I possibly could for the 20th time to see if I missed anything that needed deburred or sharp edges that needed rounded. Everything looks fine, so I popped it in the hot tank and gave it a bath.
I'm waiting on some fittings for coolant and oiling, then I will start assembly.... Next week.
