This is in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

This particular vehicle has the 225 Slant Six. The distributor, coil, radiator, master cylinder, tires, and water pump has been replaced, as was all fluids. The carburetor has been rebuilt, but should probably be replaced. It has new tires, and the left hand threads on the driver’s side have been changed over to right hand threads. There is no carpet. Also, there weren’t any front seats, so I acquired some 01-05 Honda Civic Seats for the Duster. There were also major dents in the driver’s side front fender (which is included in the sale), so I replaced the fender with one from a ’74 Duster. The steering column was also rebuilt. The Duster also had manual brakes that I converted to power brakes. The car is running and drivable, but should be trailered to its new location. There are also some parts that go with it, like a trunk pan from ’69 Dart and the rear springs from the same car. I also have an additional passenger side quarter glass with frame that goes, and a proportioning valve for a disc/drum setup. Now, for the bad stuff. There is rust on the lower rear quarter panels, as well as some in the trunk (that's why the trunk pan is included). Also, the front suspension needs to be rebuilt, shocks need to be replaced, as well as the replacement of the passenger rear spring.

This is a great project car, and with very little effort would be an excellent daily driver. This would also make an awesome show car/strip vehicle since it is such a solid foundation. I have a child on the way and it is not feasible to have a 2-door car for transportation.

You get all this for $1500 OBO, or I would trade for a 2 horse, bumper pull trailer. Let me know what you got.

Thought that I had this sold, but the guy flaked out on me. anyhow, ttt
That sucks - I feel your pain. I had 2 "buyers" this past weekend that said they "wanted my car" and then never bothered to call after they no-showed. Glad I have learned never to wait around for a buyer that may or may not show up. I've learned to say, "Call me when you are 10 minutes away."

Good luck with your sale. If you still have it after mine sells, I may be interested in it as a replacement project.

yeah, i hear ya. what's bad is that he's in the military. i mostly tell people that if they want me to hold the car, like he did, that i would take a $100 deposit. i forwent the deposit because of the military thing, and that came to bite me in the butt. anyhow, that's why it's back up.

thanks challengergary, and good luck with your sale too.

yeah, I heard back from one of my "buyers" today. He was all gungho on Friday to buy it and then "over the weekend he slipped and fell and does not have health insurance."

Mechanically, what will this car need to get to daily driver status? I live about 10 minutes from you in Keller, does it run & drive well enough to drive it home? I don't care about cosmetics...I know it needs paint & body work plus interior work. Just trying to think ahead as I now have someone that seems to really want my Duster...

Also, you mention that you added power brakes. Does it now have power front discs or did you just add the booster? If you changed it to discs, are the large or small bolt pattern?
