So is the 1970 Dart hood trim not available in repro??
Been hunting all over and cannot find one anywhere. Seems strange that that one piece would not be available.

They come up on this site. I have several in my collection and sold a couple but they were not sold cheap. As a matter of fact they are really not for sale. I kept them for my Demons. But Two people made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Put up a want ad with an offer you may get lucky. Shipping them correctly so they don't get bent is another expensive cost. Must be shipped in a very large unbendable box taped to wood.

Other years are aluminum . 70-72 are stainless. Most repop trim is aluminum . There is a damage one on Ebay right now for $49.00. They can be repaired if you know how.

Amen to that. (prices and shipping) I shipped one in a PCV tube. It did arrive safely.

Thanks for all the info guys. I do have one but my polisher just discovered a crack in it so I thought Id look around to see if a repro is available. Fortunately the crack is more on the underside, so a repair will be in order since any used one would probably need repair anyways :)

I was sure I saw repops available last year before I refinished mine. Its easier to work with than drip rail moldings. Perhaps the repros are NLA now (check out the price of repop fender extensions/eyebrow moldings at PG...$2K!)

I saw that $1.999 a pair. Wonder what used are going for now. I saw the front hood trim for $1,100 repop. I sold mine mint condition Cheap then . for $500 plus ride. Parts for some A-bodies are going through the roof lately.

That's insane! I gave away a truckload of mostly 70/71 Dart parts years ago, didn't want to scrap them and moving them wasn't an option at the time.:BangHead:
There were at least 2 sets of good fender extensions and all the trim pieces, plus headlamp doors, K-H disc brakes, heater boxes, instrument clusters, dash bezels, brake drums, etc.

I thought I had as well. I looked up those extensions, but it doesnt show a price, just a big note that they are "being considered for reproduction"

just some of the pieces put away. I have others taken off recently not bundled. Plus some that need dent repair. The reason for keeping them is as soon as I go to finish my car I'll bend one polishing it. Probably the best way is to put it on an old hood or car.
