The "on-center" one is the only style I've seen. They're also made in polyurathane, unless you're looking for an accurate restoration.

The one on the right is the same as I received with a recent purchase of a PST kit. Glad I saved all of them off of cars I stripped over the years. The skinny ones work but just a little less rubber to cut cost. LOL

I was looking at a 71 parts car I have. It had one of each bumpers on it. The narrow one had a Chrysler part number on it (2948716) which is what a 71 parts book calls for. Thanks for everyone’s replies.

That is interesting but seeing is believing. I bought many 70-72's and not one ever had those narrow bump stops. I had some with the rubber gone and nothing but the fastener in place. It could have been on one of them. I have a shelf of control arms and not one of those bump stops. Could they have been a specific price class or location of build? I did just put them on a 72 challenger recently. they came with the kit.

I've torn a hundred (or so) A-body front ends apart. I've never seen the narrow bumpers.

I'm like you in the taking apart A body suspensions, for parts.
To me those "narrow" bumpers are quite common to find.
I'v got probably a dozen of them in a storage box, on the shelving, in the garage.
Very common on the mid 60's cars, from my experience.
Nothing unusual at all, for my .02 cents on this subject.

Reviving an old thread.....got the narrow bump stops with my PST kit and they are wrong. I ordered the Moog K3180 which are like the ones I took off.

The 71 parts book show the narrow bumper and the 72 show the wider one.I have NOS of both for my 71 and 72 Demons. Both have the part numbers according to the parts book.

FWIW...my 71 Demon 340 that I've had since 1984 had the wider one shown on the left in the original picture.

I have a drawer of them from tearing these cars apart. I don't have any narrow bump stops in over 50 years. Except a pair that I received from PST and I never used them.
