love that color!! is it the snakeskin green from mopar or the cyber green from (gasp!!) chevy? love both and it looks great

Thanks scampy72, it's actually a ( duh, duh, duhhhh) Mazda color that has been tweaked a little (really just so I don't have to admit my color came from a jap car) but we added a lot more pearl. I though seriously about snakeskin, but it is a three stage and my material cost would have well doubled. Thanks jrlegacy23, I hope to have it painted before thanksgiving, so... Maybe just wishfull thinking.

Love the color. I really wished I had more time to sand on my Valiant but Im running out of time and want/need to get it out of dans garage. I fig ill drive it like it is for 3-5 years then sand it down and fix all the little dings that we missed.

Thanks SpeedracerX, I just checked yours out and I really like the later scoop on the earlier body. Good choice. Thanks to dennyday67 too. I really love the way your car looks, and the only reason I'm going this far with mine is because the bodyman did such a good job, and I can leave it at the shop I work at. If I hadn't been able to do this, my car would have simply been squirted gray primer and I'd already be tearin' up the roads! The thought almost makes me want to leave it how it is...jk.

It's been a while since I last posted, and I've been so busy. Got almost all the panels hung and got the doors lined up. I don't think I have any pics of the fenders lined up, but I'll post a few of the doors. I also sprayed the inner fenders with some sound deadener and blacked out the headlamp pockets for a better look. BTW I'm working on converting my fiance to mopar too. I may have done it too! (pics to come)

Well, I think we did it! It has been a long time coming, but we made it to the top, and it should be all down hill from here on out. I have to admit that it will be slow during December as I will likely take it slow for the holidays with all the family get togethers and such, but a 14 hour saturday and a 10 hour sunday afternoon payed off! let me know what you think. By the way, thanks kevindahle. I'm not sure if you were saying good job to turning my fiance into a mopar gal, or if you were comenting on the build, but either way thanks!(ha ha!) Hopefully these pics should tide some of you over for a little while. BTW first time taking pics with a real camera instead of the phone. I do like the color better on the phone though as I think it better represents the true color of the car. Both will be attatched.

And some more. BTW, I will get some more after acouple of weeks when the cut and buff has been done.

Hey guys, thanks! I really appreciate the feedback. It will be a slow December likely due to all the holiday things. I hope to come back strong by about mid January, and possibly have the car drivable by next may. I know that seems a little optimistic, but i do plan on putting some serious time into her. I'll keep posting.

Thanks guys. I know it's been a while too since my last post. I should have some pics coming before the end of the week though.

I know it's been awhile but any updates on this beautiful car?

Reviving an old thread. Life happens and we have to take the good with the bad. Not saying that I’ll be making tons of updates anytime soon but I have made some progress. The car is now running and there have been a few changes. I’ll try to revive this thread and make updates every couple of weeks at least.

Here are some recent pics from a few months ago. I’ll take some more this weekend
