71 Scamp Upgrade

Hey All!
Bought a nice Scamp (6 cyl) to work on with my son. I know you've probably had these questions before but... I heard I need to do the following changes but I need more help / details.

1) Change the front spindles to 73 up a/body. (for the brakes)
2) Change the torsion bar.
3) Change the rear end to get the larger bolt pattern

2 questions.
1) 1 & 2 above SOUND simple, but theres more to it. Any help would be appreciated.

2) I know the axel swap is going to take some welding etc. Are there just different axels to swap for the larger bolt pattern?

Good luck on the spindles, the B-body guys are snarfin' them up, unless you go aftermarket. As far as the rear end, There are a body 8.75's out there, but until I built one I could have added a couple of bucks and ordered a drop in Moser 60. Could also look for an 8.25.
