I've mentioned this to my brother (HIS car) instead of AC. I'm sure someone has done this - I would if it were my car. Clifford all the way with a 3838. KYBs. ScareBird conversion too. Thoughts on this I think this would finish it. Cost?

man, you're sure free with spending your brother's money.....

Why?
If the car stays 225, the car with a Mopar 4-speed will only be slower, than it was when automatic. This is because the convertor is torque multiplier that can occasionally achieve a two to one ratio at zero mph, making 2.73 gears feel like 5.46s even if only briefly. But that ratio does not ever drop to 1:1, so even in second gear it is still working for you when the hammer is dropped. At it's worst, it is still making 2.73s feel like 2.94s would ... in first gear.
If you want to make your brothers car more fun to drive, here is your recipe;
Leave the engine alone.
Install a 2800 convertor, race gears, and a free-flowing exhaust.

If you have to ask cost, yur in the wrong hobby.
