Would like to rechrome my bumpers, but seems much more expensive than just buying new repops. Has anyone gotten bumpers from Classic Industries? Were you happy with them? Did you have to wait for them? '72 Dodge Dart Swinger.

I wasn't aware anyone was doing a repop. do you have a link for front/rear bumpers?

Both Classic Industries and Year One list them in their catalogs. They are new bumpers.

You're better off in the long run, having your stock bumpers re-done. By the time you spend the money on aftermarket ones, the money you spend on a good re-chroming (Paul's in S. W. Pa. is very good) will be worth it. A good chrome job is a lot of prep work & that's why it's not cheap. After market bumpers aren't nearly as good, fit, finish or material (probably made in China) & the chrome won't hold up to long in most cases. Spend the money & have yours done. Unless you plan on selling the car in a couple years. Just my 2 cents worth.

I guess I see the fronts listed. I was thinking about the rear for 72 which is what I am looking for. I dont think anyone makes rear for 71-73 Dart

OK, will check out Paul's tomorrow. Local chrome plater wants so much, I would rather chew my arm off. I would paint them first.

Your right, fronts. Just Googled '71 Scamp , guess the rear is 2 tail lights not 4. Wasn't sure.

Sometimes platers ask what seems like a lot of money, but Paul's Chrome has been around a long time & do a superior job. Some platers, not so much. There is another plater that does a very good job, but I just can't remember the name right now.

Down by Knoxville, KY. My car is no show car, but it's a very nice no rust driver. The bumpers are not shot, but they are 50 yrs old. All of the chrome is getting there. I have new door handles and am going to bite the bullet and buy new turn indicators on the fenders. That leaves the driver's mirror and bumpers.

Pauls is going to be really expensive but they are one of the best platers out there.
