'72 Dart: How to remove fender splash shield?

-
If it has a metal splash shield there are a series of bolts accessable from the rear of the front wheel opening.

If the car has undercoat they might be hard to see.

So the bolts for from the inside of the fender well back toward the car, right? But are likely hidden by undercoating?

That would explain it. I found one in a local salvage yard that I believe will fit, but I couldn't see the bolts. Thanks!

It's a little risky but a propane torch will heat up the tar and it will come off like hot butter.

Have a fire extinguisher handy.

My car has factory undercoat and I was able to find all the bolt heads just by poking around with a screw driver

Once you get the bolts out there is a rubber patch at the top held on by wire spring clips and a rubber seal against the fender. Any of those could get stuck with undercoating. Most of the bolts have BIG washers behind them and there is one that goes through a tab on the fender lip.
