I am looking to change the shifter on my Duster. For you guys who are running a 727 tranny what shifter are you running. I now have a B & M slap stick and I dont like it. Been in there for 20 years now and it is time to change it. Bill

I always liked the B&M quicksilver (made it fit under the factory council). I tried the B&M pro stick but I couldn't get used to it (seemed to be the shifter everyone else liked (gated vs ratchet)). I'm sure the Turbo Action cheetah will get brought up but I never used it (thought they were ugly hahaha)

Turbo action cheetah shifter is still good. The PPP shifter is more expensive but it will be the last shifter you ever buy.

Been running a B&M Star shifter in my Dart for 40+ years. Regular shift pattern for day to day driving plus a ratchet shifter for those "special occasions

Cheetah SCS or Winters Side Winder, have the scs in my Demon no complaints at all.

I'm using a pro ratchet in my Opel, from the experience in my 62 savoy. I had a cheetah in the 62, and it was bulletproof, but it wasn't stupid-racecar-driver proof. Too many 1-3-2-3 shifts. I converted the 727 shifter to a powerglide and stuck it in a different car. It worked beautifully as a glide shifter.
Today, considering prices, I'd probably get the Winters sidewinder. As bulletproof as a cheetah, about half as much money, and about $150 less than the ratchet, which has doubled in price in a couple years.

I've had the B&M Pro Ratchet and the Hurst Quarter stick which is currently in the car. I'll be switching back to the B&M. I know it's trivial but I don't like pulling the lever on the Hurst to get in 3rd gear
