Aloha guys!

I just got a set of Mooneyes gauges that I am going to use in my duster. (FREE) While doing a little research I haven't been able to find an answer to...Where does a temperature sender (Electric) mount in a 727?

I haven't climbed under the duster to look for a port or spot yet... at lunch at work...

Does anyone know if there is a location for a TEMP SENDER?

OR

Do I need to pull the pan, drill a hole, put a mount for the sender in the tranny pan?

OR

Do I install it inline with the cooler line?

Picture of a recommend location is always NICE! (If it is a port)
OR just recommendations!

Mahalo! Mike

If you wanna see the temp of the fluid for REAL, you need to put the sender in the front cooler line. You WILL be alarmed at the temps and it'll make you change the fluid more often. Most racers don't change trans fluid often enough.

We put ours in the pan. Temp here will be about 20 degrees lower than the converter outlet to cooler location.

Pictured is for a mechanical gauge. Electric gauge works here too, just drill and tap for the smaller fitting.

I do agree racers do not service their transmissions often enough. Just means more freshen ups for me I guess. :toothy10:
