I have a quick question....does anyone know how many total quarts a 727 Torquflite holds and what's the best type to use?

Dont just put 12 qts in it.....put about 8 qts...start it up in neutral....and add fluid to get to the full mark....

always depends on size of converter...pan...cooler lines...

A few years back the drag racers were using a John Deere Fluid. Google I guess.

I use Dynamic synthetic for my 727, sold by Dynamic transmissions... Right now it's 100 bucks a case a 12

Type F from Wally World! It works and it is cheap! I buy it in gallon jugs when it is available.

70aarcuda's favorite place to get Trans fluid!

We use Pennzoil Hydra Static Tractor fluid for the race transmissions, the best stuff we have ever found and hell, its even cheaper LOL. I know of only one person personally that uses it for a daily driver/street use but thats just not enuff to base an opinion on for street useage.

Super Tech brand name from Wally World, $11.50 ish a gallon, my DD is leaking like the Exxon Valdez and I been using this cheap stuff with great success LOL, works good.
