What is a good, economically priced sway bar to install on the front of a 73 Duster that didn’t come with a front sway bar? What modifications are needed for the install as well? Anything major?

All suspension components are fresh, replaced within the last year, although steering box is a tad worn.

You need tabs on the LCa, not sure if they make a kit for them without them or not. Well worth having it.

Hellwig is best combination of price and quality. Good quality brackets.

Any is a vast improvement over none in the typical street driven. Even the least expensive ( Addco maybe ) will be a complete bolt on kit for a no OEM bar build. It will be comparable to OEM in performance too.
Addco was filling this need through J.C. Whitney catalog, etc... waaaay back when.
You would need to spend more coin to get something better/stronger than OEM.

Is there any welding involved or modification to the LCAs to bolt up an Addco setup on a 73?

No sir. Bolt in kit is just that. Middle mount brackets use the factory bolt holes already in the K member.
For the end link attach point, a L shape bracket attaches at the lower shock bolt. Welding it to the lower arm is a optional / if you have a welder sort of thing.

The bolt holes for the mounting points for the bar should be already in the k member of non sway bar equipped cars, correct?

Yes, that is correct.
