73 Duster

Originally, this car had a 318 which was replaced by 360 motor I bought which is now my spare. The rear and transmission went on me and I had then re done at the same time. I did not have indoor storage and paint job went bad in the sun from being baked. All the work has been professionally done. The interior is nice with no rips or tears in the seats. When I bough the car in 2006, the odometer read 35,000 mi, now there is 38,000 mi. I believe this to be the original mileage, but can’t confirm this.
The motor is now a true Mopar Magnum 360/380 HP crate motor from Chrysler. Less than 50 mi on this new motor!

Part # # P5249499

The Magnum 380 crate motor head is a swirl port design that has smaller combustion chambers and a higher compression ratio (nominal 9.0:1). Different intake and exhaust port sizing flows more air without modifications to the cylinder heads. Breathing is enhanced with 1.925" intake valves and 1.625" exhaust valves. Overall package of smaller valves and better ports flow more air. Next, we slide in our .501" / .513" lift, 288/292 degree duration hydraulic roller camshaft, add a 4BBL carbureted M1® single plane intake manifold . We add special valve springs and a double roller timing chain as well as an MPP electronic distributor. The distinctive Mopar cast valve covers with 10 screws are added to the package, with an oil pan (center sump) similar to the Commando engines. It is recommended you add your own 750 cfm Holley carburetor and headers to complete the package. Dyno testing with a 750 cfm carburetor and 17/8" headers show horsepower output to be 380+ at 5300 RPM. Torque output is 410+ lb/ft at 4400 RPM, with over 350 lb/ft available from 2000 to 5700 RPM.

The r/f floor pan is showing some rust and small holes, but I have another new pan in waiting. These pics are before I put the driver's seat in and I have yet to put in the back seats/belts etc. which only takes 15 minutes or so. I am 50/50 on getting a new seat divider and laying sound deadener over it. I also have new carpet ready to go in.
