Hi everyone, I have a 74 plymouth Scamp, 318, VIN VH23G4F210301, this thing needs new rear drums but......everyone list 9x2, 10x2 or 2.5 there is no listing for 11inch. Of course it is 4.25 bolt pattern with 2 13/16 center.I've checked the dimentions for Fury, Cuda, Challenger, ect but the outter dia. of the drum for them is 14 in, my drums are 13 5/8 outter, inner is 11 in. the braking surface is 2 1/2 in wide the total depth of the drum is 4 1/2 in... It may of had a dealer installed tow package because there are brackets welded to the rear rails. If ANYONE knows ANYTHING please HELP !!! Thanks CZ

Are you sure it's 4.25 bolt pattern and not 4.50 ? Gotta start from there so we know what you're working with.......

Welcome to FABO

Has the rear in the car been changed. Your bolt pattern is either 4" or 4.5", or should be.

What rear is in it? 7 1/4, 8 1/4, 8 3/4 ??

Sorry guys my measurement was center to center, it's 4.5:eek:ops: I swear this is my third a-body and I still don't know enough. Some of the cast #'s on the drum are 80988-11 ,987 ,55722. my guess is one is a lot # the one with the -11 may tell me more if I had some kind of good cross referance, I think that I need a Motors manual. I'm guessing it is an 81/4 with 2.45 gears since the tag off the rear says 2.45 4 19 4

It's an old car, things may have been changed. Bigger rear drums came on many of the bigger mopars. Just did a rockauto search and a 74 dodge monaco came with 11" X 2-1/2" rear brakes, Outside Diameter 13.62" RAYBESTOS Part # 2953R

Hope this helps.

Thanks to all who have helped ,I believe that my questions are answerd....for now. Long live mother MOPAR !!:burnout::finga:
