Hello all, I am reinstalling the stock A/C system in my 74 Swinger and I need a little help, my Haynes manual isn't much help with this project. I've got all the lines and components installed and pulled a vacuum on the system then when I went to charge it I noticed that it appears wires are missing. There is nothing going to the compressor and the thinner blue wire that's connected to the drier isn't connected to anything. I can't figure out where either of them connect to. Any help would be appreciated! I've included pictures to hopefully help problem.

Thank you in advance!

????HAYNES?????!!!!!

Just giving you 'ell

Here, go download a free 73 manual. Two parts chassis and body. Download the 72 manual while you are at it.......

http://www.mymopar.com/index.php?pid=31

The reason is the 73 wiring diagrams were radically changed, and the 72 are sometimes easier to follow. However, (at least in the older manuals) the AC wiring is in chapter on heaters and A/C not in the electrical section.

The ADVANTAGE of the 73 manual is there's a "picture book" of connectors, and their physical location, so you can determine "what they are"

The AC controls wiring is page 24-45 of the 73 Chassis manual

Then go look at page 8-165, far top right, showing connector indexed as "CE-19"

Notice that it gives you the shape, the color of wires and function, and where it is in the car.

Then go back to page 8-162, near bottom, and you can see the AC wiring for the compressor
