Anyone with a setup similar to mine feel free to chime in on timing settings, distributor springs, etc.
Just broke the camshaft in and changed the oil. Engine seems very responsive.
Pulling a steady 7" of vacuum at 750rpm idle 12° initial timing. Car has regular (no power) brakes.
I still need to get some exhaust on the car. It is running open header through the collectors.
As it sits now:
1969 340 +.040 aluminum 9:1 pistons standard rods and forged crank 2.02" intake 1.60" exhaust X heads. Hooker Super Comp ceramic headers. Looking at 2.25" dual exhaust with a 2" H pipe. Dynomax Super turbo mufflers. I am old and do not like drone.
800 com Thermoquad 9292 jetted accordingly: main jets 4099, .137 secondaries, rods are #2024 which go from .062" to .050"
Intake is an aluminum 8007 Weiand.
Mopar electronic distributor with 22° of advance. Timing is set at 12° initial yielding ~34° total. Using the vacuum advance.
Accel spiral core wires. Electronic box is from four seconds flat. Coil is an MSD unit.
Double roller timing chain turning a Lunati Voodoo hydraulic 268/276° cam kit with lifters PN 10200703LK 110° centerline, .493" intake lift, .513" exhaust lift.
After running 20 minutes, oil pressure is between 32-38psi at 750 idle, temp never goes over 190 sitting running in the garage.
