I have a 8 1/4 non suregrip and wanted to get a suregrip assembly for it and wanted to see what your oppinons are on the two types . Also where is the best place to get one ? Thanks

Try looking around summit racing and then Mancini racing for prices.

We have the weaker of the two in our duster and have prob 50-60 mid 11 sec passes on it and prob hundreds(dunno exact, lets just say frequently abused) 12 sec passes on a 26x11.50 hoosier quick time pro dot and it still works without any issues or funny noises, but I think this rear might be the exception to the rule and not the norm.

Good luck,
Jr.

I know the chrome stick on flames look funny but they're the best bait in the world lol.

For my 8 1/4 Im planinning on getting a 29 spline suregrip and 3.73 ring and pinion from a jeep cherokee along with the rear disc brakes and then get custom axles built in 29 spline and stock a body length, Im tryin to build a gorilla 8 1/4 lol.

also planning on a rear end cover that supports the main caps

As gearjammer340 said 50-60 mid 11 sec pass's on the juice off the line.

The rear is stronger than most people give it credit for.
