Hey guys , doing the brakes on the 75 Duster . Ordered parts and as per usual you never end up with what you thought you bought.
Turns out the diff has been changed out , I have 5 x 4-1/4 on the fronts so the new disc fit the wheels . Rear is a different thing . Ended up with drums and shoes too wide and a stud pattern larger than what's on the car.
The rears are 5 x 4 , what years did the A body 8-3/4 have smaller stud bolt pattern?

sounds like have the 4.5 bolt circle 73 and up n front and the 4 1/4 inch 72 and down in the rear. Abodies had 1.5 inch pads so if you have wider pads someome mismatched backing plates and drums from original.

So looks like the diff has been changed out , thanks guys.
Now I need to find out if the axles I can get with 5x4-1/4 hubs will fit this diff.?
Would like to eventually end up with the same bolt pattern front and rear.

Contact Dr Diff. He can set you up with 4.5 bc (bolt circle) axles that use common B body brake drums , shoes and backing plates. The brakes off of a A or B body 8.25 rear will also work.

check the vin, 5th digit, 6 cylinder cars had the 5 on 4", starting around 1973 the 8 3/4 was not available in a bodies and v8 cars had 5 on 4.5"

My apologies gentlemen , I referred to 5 x 4.25 when I should have been talking about 5 x 4.5 on the front of this car.
Front brakes went on no problem , rears today after getting proper shoes and cylinders late yesterday.
