I jumped the gun & brakekleened the pumpkin well before I was ready to lift it up/in. it in now & my Q is can I fill the housing up & not have it leak out the housing end(s). I don't want the pumpkin to rust. I dont have the axles yet but the end seals are in place. thank you for your time .RR

You might. Why fill it. Throw a quart in for now. When you spin it occasionally you will lubricate it.

Tag or label it "no oil" till you fill it.
Never know who, when, where it'll end up.
Trust me .
X2 I have a no oil tag on a 833 sitting in my garage.

I drilled a 1/2' access hole in the rear at the top of the curvature (IMCA rules) & added a slight bit. the nose got tilted down as I was manuevering things so I'm sure the nose area at the front of the pinion got lubed then with it bolted in I turned the gears backward/forward a few times to lube the gears so it should be good. thanks guys for the help/insight, RR
