They are very easy to ship.Get pickle bucket and lid from local restaurant put rags in bottom or newspaper.Drop in put lid on seal securely with duct tape and ship ups,Kevin.

What did you clean the internals with?

Curious because I've wanted to do that to mine before I shipped it but I was afraid to mess anything up, especially the bearings.

Didn't clean it with anything, removed it from the car last summer and it has been in my garage wrapped in rags and in a plastic bag since. It's just thoroughly drained down.
