Just put my 8 3/4 together, and torqued the nuts on the centre section to 45 lbs, except for one because of a stripped housing bolt. I can get about 30 lbs on that one, but beyond that the stock nut will slip.
Would you take it apart to replace the stud.
Is the stud pressed into the housing like a wheel stud or is it tack welded from inside the housing. I can't remember.
I also thought of using a long nut like you would see on a U bolt. If I can get 45 on that, I would leave it.
Thanks
