8 3/4 rear end question

Hi everyone

I need some advice.

Does an 8 3/4 rear end use the same size shock mounting bracket as an 7 1/4 rear end.

I bought a plate off a shop in the area and it looks the same as the one from the 7 1/4 I aready have.

But today when I went to asemble the rear end the u bolts did not fit the holes in the plate.

Please someone help me out. Maybe someone has the correct plates they can sell me at a fair price.

The 7.25 has 2.5 inch tubes and the 8.75 has 3 inch tubes. The plates will not interchange but some have elongated the holes and used them successfully (myself included!)

You can use the 8 1/4 inch rear shock mount plates. They use 3 " axle tubes.
