I found an 8 3/4 a-body rearend on craigslist and I have spoke to the guy and will be picking it up tomorrow. I was just wondering whether it was a good deal or not. The guy was really cool and is willing to work with me on picking it up as I have two jobs and have very little time for myself.

My question is the rearend worth $500? I think so but I would like other opinions. And also what should I do with the old rearend?

is it complete or bare housing or what?

suregrip ...open rear....what gearing?

and most of important ...is it worth 500 to you?

I sold one for $550 about 3 years ago - '70 Duster unit, 489 pig, sure grip, uknown gear, complete and with all brake parts.

I'd say that's a fair price. Now, start looking for a SG unit for it!

YEP!! well worth it, is it a bolt in and ready to go ?
What rearend are you running know and gears, what engine ?
Welcome to this great site if I missed you in the welcome wagon.
You will love the 3.23 gears if you have taller gears in your Dart now

Currently I am running the 318/904, but I have plans on doing a swap this winter to a 360/727. I am going to be re-installing the single throat carb. I just plain like it. I have a better sound than my 1968 Mustang and I can go three times as far.

Any suggestion?
