Wow....I just had my dart out this summer. I had it at a few car shows, drag racing events, and street racing events. And all i got for 4 years of building it was critisicm. :angry4: Because it was a SLOPAR,NOPOWER,Junk Dodge. And not a three fiddy chevay. So many mopar haters in the NW INDIANA Area. So........I sold my dart. And I bought a 83 Camaro.....................................................  .................................................................I ganked the rear end, trans, and motor. And Bought a 8 3/4 rear end, race 727 trans,74 duster wirining harness, and a 440 i had lying around. This next summer will be interesting.. So, i need so advice as to decals, or what i can do to really set it off.

No mopar people around here will appreciate this. This is how you make a camaro run

dont do it man. i think you should go buy your dart back and swap the 440 in it. then that would piss the chevy boys, them knowing your car is that much cooler then thier camaro's

personally if your in this hobby only or more so specifically for what people will think or say. your not really a hobbist nor a moparian, you should build the car that you want and you desire. Are you really that endured about what a chebby guys thinks? or that a ferd guy can twist out more then a few words, equalling enough to make a full sentance? then maybe you or they should be a 4x4 kinda guy. ( ie. a no brainer hobby )

I like my mopar and i dont really care what anyone says about it, never have never will! and what makes my car as interesting as it is to those who find it interesting.. is what interesting things i have put into it? have i lost you yet?

If i were you man, get your dart back.. put in your 440. then there are far and few in between that can say anything bad about an a-body big block. 3yrs and you would most likely have had a sweet machine!

no kidding, but what do you mean being a 4x4ing a no brainer hobby.....if you belive that you need to get a 4x4 and try it yourself.

mopar stopped making rwd 2 door cars is like 81. they are hard to find. i paid 200 bux for this camaro. it has disc brakes, newer suspension.
500 bux for a back half kit
200 bux for a posi 8 3/4
and 50 bux for mounts.
a body headers work to i found out.
and a race trans from mancini was like 1800

you must not have to deal with hard core mopar haters around here. i am a moparian, i have a coronet. but i think this will be different and interesting. im sorry you dont agree, but this isnt hill billy stuff. you consider a 31 ford coupe with a sb chevy and newer suspension hill billized? its a hot rod

I could care less what someone else says about my car. Buying a camro is like teling them they one.

Ive owned 4 Camaros, sold them all to buy Mopars.

Personally I think It's a great Idea, firsts I'm a mopar guy, and second I'm a car guy. and I like all cars.
In my part of the country is all Ford vs. Chevy and both seam to be okay with mopars.
So I can hardly wait to see peoples reaction at the shows to my current project a 69 camero with a 02 dohc 4.6 mustang cobra drive train.

Selling your dart because chevy guys pick on you is like telling them they won, there right....Seems like the cowardly thing to do, and putting Mopar parts into a bowtie makes no cents at all...why devalue Mopar parts like that? Glad you sold your Dart though, now maybe someone that appreciates it will put it together right and have some fun in it....

ive actually owned 3 4x4 trucks. a half ton chev a yota and a one ton chev

Whats your arguement? im just tellin you how it is man, dont let them get you down and basically like everyone said. you let them win.

a 83 4dr 4cyl auto half bagged out tempo could win a race with my car..

but i wouldnt take offence to it. i have the wrong gear set, a dead motor, and no ambition to race a chev or ford product.

but if they wanted to race, id take it to the track where it really matters and i would do it when i have my mopar crate 360. just like all these guys with theier dime-a-dozen 5L's and windsor 351's in small cars.. BAH. but then again im the kinda guy who paints his car pink to to see who has enough balls to say something!

camaro = dark side :wack:

i say go back to your mopars, who cares what people say i got crap for driving my dart wagon, but from the older people it was a big thumbs up, i didnt care what kids at school said, it was cool to me that is all that matters, its like people modding cars some want them all orginal, some wanna drag car, now im more in between, but that doesnt mean i cant understand the persons view point(not saying i agree with chebby or ferd) i dotn like em both, i will always get crap for driving a mopar, well from the mustang/camero people, personaly i dont see all the fuss with either car, wow u can build a mustang what that cost 2k, with the car included :wack: eyah i wish i could build a just buy a bone stock 360/bb engine for the price of a 400+ 350 ahah, but i dont see any orginality, in my opinion a 350 above all is the most over used/over rated engine ever, sorry i hate it what can i say,

go mopar and never look back  (ok well you can to see the look on the chebby guys face when u kick is a$$) haha

ps: i would never mix engine parts/body's, well maybe accept for a ford 9in/8.8 so i can save a lil instead of a $500+ 8 3/4

I had a guy at the parts counter laughing when I wanted plugs for a 69 GTS 340 car I had a few years back. I looked at him and asked if had ever owned a Mopar. When he said no..I told him I had a big block GMC truck, a Camaro, and a Chevy truck once. And I was tired of buying junk so I got a Mopar. Talk about shut some one up..lol. That was fun. Then I told him how much faster my ole granny Dart was than any of those big bad chebies...lol.
Another guy at work was laughing at my old 72 318 auto Dodge truck. I offered to chain my junker with a slipping trans. to his nice new truck and see who would drag who across the parking lot. He wouldn't do it. Priceless..lol. I love being a smart a$$. Go ahead and put that 440 in there and leave the hood off. When they ask what you're doing tell 'em you had to put something in there that's dependable....besides it's the easyest way to push a chebie...fast. You gotta learn to have fun with those idiots.

Yell at me if you want, but you caved into a bunch of strangers and assholes opinions.
I'm into all sorts of cars. I really do not care what you drive, though imports confuse me and see nothing to cheer about. Just not my cup of tea.

I know exactly what you mean by MoPar haters. I still deal with a few old time jackass fools as well. Some even seemed not to mind screaming there opion across the parking lot while they walk away. Beats me????Wwwwwwwhaaaaaatever!?!?!?
If one wants to appear so lame, thats there biz. There not making you look stupid. Just themselves. If you want to hang out or be respected by anyone, these are not the guys to hang with or know in anyway shape or form. If you do hang with them, you'll just be known as another jackass of the crowd, even if your mouth remains shut.
Guilty by assoc.

If your into MoPars, start your own club via word of mouth, paper add and appraoching other MoPars new and old. AMC's as well. Get the adopted brother in there to hang out. Do parades, charity runs and shows. Recruite more this way.
We had a club here that started that very way and grew into several hundered.

Now stop crying like a baby and get into the car you like and beat your own drum. You put 4 years into something only to be upset at what other fools think.
You need to grow up and stop worring about what other people think about your car and what you like. Come one man. What are you? 12 years old?

No shoulder to cry on here.

Heres advice on decals. Actually, better yet,
heres a bumper sticker you can have made up.

"I'm a baby"
"I caved into strangers opions"
"I'm a loser"
"Your opinon is more important that what I think"
"I follow the crowd, signed sheep #24."
"You lead, I follow, wheres the bridge"
"I was different until I got yelled at"
"I believe what ever you tell me."
"I was hatched"
"I'm a pod person" (Invasion of the body snatchers, orginal film is great)
"I want to look like everyone else, wheres the clone factory?"
"Will work for plastic surgery, I need to look like everyone else>"

Incredible, 4 years of work and your throwing it all away. A damn crying shame.

Are you the kid that changed his sneakers because the other kids had keds and not Nikes?

WELL!! I couldn't give a rat's *** about what the other sides think about my Mopar!! I was born as an individual, I live as an individual, and I'll die as one, and no Ferd or Chebbie person or crowd will ever intimidate me into NOT driving a Mopart. Time for a reality check into how you live your life - as an individual or just a member of the sheep herd!

ok first off, pinke is a fat slob who drives her husbands challenger and knows nothing about cars.

second, i have a few mopars. the dart isnt my only car ive ever owned. im into racing. and i think it would be great to pull low 10's out of a street car camaro with chrysler drive train. it would leave these mopar haters speechless. most mopar guys around my area are to numbers matching obsessive, so all it has ever been for racing around here is chevy. everyone has forgotten about how dominant the big block chryslers were. :headbang:
everyone heres dodge they think of a ram. no. this is the definition of a hot rod. making mounts, designing things. an 85 camaro with a 440,727,and 8 3/4 that runs low 10's is awesome. im excited. i was just looking for some positive ideas. for ideas for headers, or putting a big mopar m on the back window. 312 cars race at this event 12 times a years. and out of that 312 members, 6 are mopars. 4 of which are numbers matching, so they barely break 14's in the quarter. i am for mopar not against it.

I know you've had your share of problem on BBD, DO NOT come on to my site and bad mouth someone becuase people dont agree with you and your idea's.

If you want to build a Crapmaro like everyone else to fit in its fine with me.

This is going nowhere fast guys, personally I get a lot of thumbs up and high 5's driving the Mopar around as I'm sure a lot of you do. Restored Mopars are gaining a lot of respect in most areas partly, and I hate saying it, because of the big auction houses like Barrett Jackson and others. But that aside the real mopar fanatic is in it for the long haul and when we meet are maker that is how we'll be judged. God that was over the top. Now quit your bitching and go burn some rubber before winter sets in. :burnout:
