I run a 1973 W200 and am getting tired of Carter BBD idle problems. Can the T-quad from my '83 D250 be run on the '73 if I swap manifolds too? Got the '83 stocker cast iron and an Offy Dual Port.

YES, it will run fine, of course as long as you know the carb ran well on the donor vehicle. I'd recommend the stock iron intake as the Dual Port design isn't very efficient and will give mixture distribution issues/less power than a regular dual plane. I don't blame you on the BBD, that carb made my car very dangerous in traffic and I got rid of that thing as soon as I could get my hands on a 4-bbl. manifold.

I second what he said. If anything, it may run alittle leaner. Hook the carbs vacuum lines up as much as possible as like it would on the '83 so the carb runs as intended. Deleateing the vacuum lines could have the carb run poorly because it is designed to run cleaner on a harder on emissions era truck.
