Hello All,
I have a CJ7 using the 904/amc bell housing. Not a lot of jeeps running this so I hope you do not mind me posting here. I have searched and read a lot of threads and can not find an answer.
I am using the Lokar cable set up and everything shifts as it should. Firm and correct RPMs. My issue is the lever bottoms out at the trans before full throttle. At WOT the cable is pulling hard on the bracket and flexing it. The Jeep rarely sees WOT so it is not a huge deal but were there different length arms available on the trans? A longer arm would eliminate the bind.. I am using the holley 20-7 bracket at the carb that reduces the total pull on the cable but it still binds
I use Lokar on other applications like a 4L80 and it permits changing the clocking of the arm which in turn changes the throw/rotation degrees of the shaft per cable/rod movement.
Any such correction for the Mopar trans? Hope I explained this well.
Thanks in advance,
Chris
