i still need the rod that connects the floor shift on my 67 barracuda to the 904 trans. if no one has one does anyone have a photo of one so i can see what i am looking for? the part was missing when i bought the car.
thanks stan

This isn't the first time someone has needed that piece. Infact I needed it myself once.
Hopefully somebody will cough up one within a few days but if not, I can get one made.
Good luck.

I dont have a pic or measuerd drawing either.
I can descibe it as about 12 inches long with 90 degree bend on one end with cotter pin hole. Then a z like offset about midstream. The other end has a flat ground about 4 inches long that the adjust block tightens on. Hope this helps.

Here's a pic I had

Hope this helps

to help find the right one u should prolly put trans in park and the shifter in park and measure from point to point then people can mesure from end to end of the linkage to see if it mite be it.........if it was me id just go to home depot and get a peice of bar stock and macgyver my own lols (hope u find one)

There are sifferent length levers on the trans select shaft but the final connecting rods are all the same. The adjusting block compensates for the differences.

If you would show us what you have, this would be much easier to decipher  ;-).

There is still one more piece that goes on the bottom of the down rod ( see pic ).

I do have a measured drawing of that one.
I suspect the reason these pieces are often missing is because the console and shifter was pulled from a part yard donor and the the guy didn't bother to go under the car for those parts. Or maybe those parts went with the trans when it was pulled. Anyway... The material used to make these linkage rods is/was very hard high carbon steel. It wont bend without heat.
I can take a sample rod and a piece of old kickdown linkage to a local shop and have that final rod made if you dont find one.
