904 troubles

Will slant 6 trans internals work in a standard 904 v8 platform? The reason I ask is the 904 I have is a lock up style but the slant 6 is a non lock up wich is what I need. The trans thats in the car is a non lock up 904 that blew up literally chunks of metal in the pan! So can I swap out the input shaft assembly's with no problems is my question.

c'mon no one knows if I can swap these parts out????? I thought this was a mopar site!! Im trying to just save a little money by using what I have till i can aford the good stuff. Someone please........................

Take them apart and see. You would have to swap the input shaft, pump assy, and valve body at a minimum. There are probably case differences too, not sure if they will be a factor.

the only major difference between slant 904 and v8 904 is the front case and linkage.
