We all have certain details on our cars that capture our focus but most other people may never see them like we do. Those details are what I want to invite folks to share so we can all see them. I’ll start with some from my ‘69 GTS...
Details: 1. I dyed the signal lamp amber. 2. The hood pins are an adder. 3. The tail panel is not black stock, but anodized. I changed it. 4. Badging added by me not period correct but I like it.
These are the interior details of my car aside from the seats. The cord on the console plugs into my iPhone and Pandora plays through the 200 W 4 channel sound system. Original steering wheel was cracked out, I bought a 68 from a member here and prepped and painted it. The gauge cluster below the dash was handmade and not very well. I may fabricate one 4 gauge panel this winter and do a better job.
high solids urathane. yes used a gun to apply.. has epoxy primer under it too.. it actually looks real red in pictures and certain light. other light it looks orange..
no problem.. that paint has been there since 2015 to giva you an idea on how it holds up.. the number(410C5) on that spec decal is the color map number. anyone should be able to match that.
The bronco I’m painting now we are using Utech product. That is the toughest primer that I have ever sprayed. Not hard to spray but tough when dry. Don’t tarry cleaning your primer gun.
