A body lower ball joints

I have 67 drum brake spindles and was wondering what the difference was between the disc and drum ball joints. do they have the same bolt pattern for the spindle. what I want to know is will the disc brake ball joint bolt up to the drum brake spindle ?

no...its a different bj part no. anyway...they might be the same casting but the db bj has larger holes in it...

I did this conversion and am very happy with it. The stopping power is better than the Chrysler stock parts. That's what you want.... stopping power. No drilling required and extra labor as the Scarebird kit.

not worried about stopping power I have willwood brakes for the car just want to put a less expensive balljoint on the car. for some reason the drum brake balljoint is twice as expensive as the dics brake one ?? this why is was wondering if it would bolt up to the spindle, if it would I would ream the control arm for the right taper if there is enough material there.

My memory sux but I think someone had this problem before. One type used bolts through the spindle with nuts and the other had threaded holes in the spindle. So the spindles for the K-H disc brakes was different too.

so what you are saying is the bolt holes line up just different sizes. all my main concern is if the bolt holes are in the same location and I could modify the rest.

Lets imagine you will need to drill the threads out of a hole and use a longer bolt through with washers and nuts . The you find those interfear ith the wilwood rotors. Seems to me you are going to a lot of trouble to save a few bucks.

this is why I'm asking this question is it worth the trouble to save about $40.00 per ball joint
