Trying to find a air conditioning bypass bracket for a 318 Magnum. I bought one off Summit but it won't bolt up. It says it fits a 93 and up 318 and I think mine is a 92 (insert Dodge vehicle here). Any ideas suggestions? The compressor mounts to the accessory bracket via four bolts and has another bracket that attaches to the top of the pump and the plenum. I'll post a picture later this afternoon.

Thanks again

Short answer: Go to Dodge. You can buy the idler pulley and idler bracket that goes in its place, or you can buy the non-AC alternator bracket from Dodge. I don't like the idler because it's something else that can leave me walking.

Don't run the crappy belt routing that some do. Belt-slippage is so out of style.

I could NOT find a used non-AC alternator bracket to save my life. I even called salvage yards in Alaska. It would seem that Mopar built precisely zero factory vehicles without AC and even managed to sell refrigerated trucks to eskimos. Why they couldn't engineer one bracket to do both AC and non-AC jobs is beyond me.

Jos do you have a part number for the non-a/c alternator bracket? The dodge guys around here can't understand what I'm tryin to tell them and say they need a vin off a block to look anything up.
