A/c Heater Box Interchanges

I posted this over in the interior forum, but I thought I might get more response here.
Is there a difference between the a/c heater box that would've come in my 73 Duster and the one that's in my 74 Valiant 4 door parts car? I'd like to take it out of the Valiant and put it in the Duster.

Should be the same they changed in 73 so any newer should work. I took the ac unit out of a four door for my two door and it fit.

Is there any way to switch over to cables instead of vacuum to operate the blend doors?

I have all vacuum and they work fine
