Hey everyone!!! As some of you might recall, Nella won the Young Guns contest a couple months ago, and one of the prizes she received was some $$$ from her favorite valentine Memike. Well, the time came today to put that money to good use. I also thought we may as well chronicle her day on Memike for all youse to see too, so here goes...

First, we had to get old Sunfish out of the Cudacave and brush off the dust. We had our entire pitcrew on it, all looking for a spot for the ride. Then it was up to the gas station to put Memikes $$$ in the tank, where it was meant to be!! Then, it was off for some wind in our hair and a stop to see some friends. (Joe has a 68 Cuda we are trying to get him to restore, been sitting for the last 20 years!!!) Everybody but Sunfish was running on empty, so we had to make a stop for some deep dish, then back home for dinner and a swim in the lake. Our topper of the night was up to our favorite ice cream store for a well deserved treat for everybody. Everybody's in bed now, and old Dads pretty tuckered too, but I can't remember when we had such a great day just doing whatever we wanted. Even Bella (our dog) took her first ride in Sunfish. She didn't want to go at first, but when she realized that she didn't have to stick her head out the window, she was all about the ride after that!!! We also shot some video, but I don't know how to post it so that'll have to wait till Mom gets home. Thanks for letting me share the day with y'all, and thanks Mike for the great prize, it really was the perfect prize!!! Geof, Nella, Ian and Bella

Looks like a lot of fun. I agree that it would be nice to see more threads like this one.

Nella looks like Amanda Bynes in those pictures. She has a great smile.

Did you guys find the emblems for the front fender? It looks like maybe the fish is back, but the script is missing? I have one, bit I think that the pins are in the wrong locations. Can you measure the distances between the holes and let me know some dimensions? I'll dig through my stuff and see if I can find the right one.

Thanks.

Glad to see you got Sunfish out for a "wind in the hair" cruise day! It looks like Nella is thoroughly enjoying sharing her prize from MeMike with her family .

Great day and great pics Geof. Nella and her car look great to match a great day. Glad to see you went to Cap't Frosty . . . we've been there plenty of times!! It's the place you stop when you are just out for a cruise! Rog
