My Grandfather passed away on 12/3/11. He fought in two wars, WWII and Korea. Up until the day he died I never heard him complain about anything one time. A true American Hero. Tons of good memories with him and he was a great role model for everyone. Here is the obituary.

Sorry for your loss bud. Seems he led a good life and loved his country.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Those men were a generation of integrity and heart that built this country. Thanks and dedication to those that served, being Dec 7th.

Badart, sounds as if he was a great man- reading the obituary, it appears he had a few of you grandkids and great grandkids. Man, I bet all of you could tell stories about your grandfather. I always laugh when I hear about people concerned with their legacy- why would somebody be so wrapped up with that thought? Just go out, be a solid person, and do some good. The actions will provide the words and memories to those around you; sounds as if grandpa did live a good life...

Sorry for your Loss John. Your Grandpa sounds like he would have been an Inspiration to most everyone he met.

My Condolences John. I'm glad you got to go see him for a wile before he passed.

My condolences to you and your family, it is difficult to lose a beloved patriarch and role model as your Grandfather was.

He probably never complained because of what he saw and lived thru in the war. He was also blessed with many grand and great grandchildren. Considering all he went thru and the fact that he had a good long life I am not surprised you never heard him complain. We should all be so lucky. I'm going to Pearl Harbor in February to throw a lei onto the Arizona. Celebrate his life; don't mourne his death as he had a great life.

My condolences Baddart. He truly was one of the greatest generation. From what I've read, being a glider pilot in WWII was an incredibly dangerous occupation.

My Condolences, Your Grandfather like mine were a big part of the greatest generation. I know you will miss him and carry him in your heart like I do.
