A short video of our new roof

We took off (and repurposed) 99 year old clay tile and replaced it with Certainteed Matterhorn steel roofing. I was impressed at the design and how it all fits together. A factory rep that was on the design team spent 2 days here to get the installers on the right track. The black and white photo at the start is from 99 years ago.

It wasn't cheap. Interest rates are cheap now and my wife is still working.

"Wife is still working"..music to my ears .. My wife worked for eight years after I had to retire at 51 .. I hate to smile about it but damn .. believe me she has made up for it. Nice house.

Looks good Mike. I think the house raised up out of the ground a couple inches after getting all that weight removed

Boy you're not kidding there. We sent them to Chicago to get repurposed. They paid us for them but the crates and shipping pretty much washed that out. At least they didn't end up in the landfill.
