A very little known bit of trivia, if you wanted an A4 silver 69 Dart it was Y39 special order with code 99 for the paint. 69 Barracuda was coded A4. Seems very strange, or am I missing something.

I didn't know that about the Darts and I've never seen a 69 A4 Dart to check the fender tag. If I ever see one I'll be checking the tag for sure. My Barracuda is coded A4 and if I see another I'll be checking that tag also. Good info to know. Thanks
Bobby

Not the best picture. The only one I have at the moment. This is an all original A4 paint GTS . I have known this car for roughly 30 years. Yes you don't see many. I'm not sure about the special paint code on the fender tag but will surely look next time I see it, if I remember. Getting old sucks. Lol

Is that Kevin’s car in Ontario? That is who’s fender tag i posted. His 340 car, there’s a fellow in the northeastern US (whose name i can ever remember, sorry!) who has a 383 car, and my M-code that came from California in the 90s.

Yes the owners name is Kevin. Didn't realize the fender tag was from the same car. Now I don't need to remember to look at the fender tag.

Maybe it's not "really" A4 silver formulation but some other silver.

It’s actually the right formulation A4. If it’s correct( mine is) it’s actually got a greenish tint to it in different light.
That said, it was painted A4 8 years ago, it was born B5. I do have the tag in a folder.
Edit… We closed ourbusiness back last June( I retired) and all the files from the shop are downstairs at home now, the wife knows where everything is, I don’t. She is currently in Mexico.
The car is getting put up for sale in October, will dig up the tag and take a picture of it when I put the for sale ad up

Sorry to read about the sale going to occur. I know you really like the car.

Yeah, there was a question about A4 or 99 for tag color code. I happened to recall your car was A4. Didn't know it started as a B5 car. All good. Take care and hope things work out well for you!

I was not "upset".

I just thought it odd that while I was attempting to give a rational explanation for the OP, someone would quote my post and then reply about another car that obviously did not fit the info I posted.
