I am going to use a 1996 Dodge 46RE in a 1949 Plymouth behind a mildly modified LA360. My question is how to control the transmission in a standalone environment like this. Any help is appreciated.
Somewhere around half way through the thread below it was discussed the truck was using a test version of a new stand alone controller that will run a 46RE transmission.I am going to use a 1996 Dodge 46RE in a 1949 Plymouth behind a mildly modified LA360. Yessir. It was readily available before I bought it. You can find it at etranscontrol.comSomewhere around half way through the thread below it was discussed the truck was using a test version of a new stand alone controller that will run a 46RE transmission.
@TT5.9mag is this controller readily available now?
My search for a shorty D100 is over

I have around 2000 miles on mine using that controller and it’s been great so far.
Do I dare ask…..I am on it dog on it...... Thanks much RF
Careful the TCM440 is a fully manual controller and will not support automatic shifting. If you want to put the car in drive and let it shift on it’s own you need the TCM430 kit.The Turbo440 looks like a GREAT option. I will call them tomorrow.
Almost there …cheaper and simpler to get a 46rh or 42rh unless you have already rebuilt the RE. Should be easy to find in 2wd trucks and vans from 1990-1994 if I recall . I have a spare 46rh in my shed.
Here is my 46rh getting ready to go into my 68 Barracuda.
