Swapping converters now that I’ve developed a leak at likely the pump seal, refreshing things and will be relocating the case vent just because. Has anyone modified their case (pump) vent, either plugging the existing hole in the pump and relocating it to the top of the the extension housing (as shown in the Carl Munroe book) or located it someplace else? With my top mount short extension housing I will need to locate it elsewhere, possibly just behind the mount or I could even run a 90 degree fitting on the pump vent hole and run a line up through the top of the case, as there is a convenient hole in the case already, to a small catch can/breather what have you. Considering that option as I have plenty of clearance with the 9-1/2” converter I’ll be running. Just looking for any options that work. Anyone?

Never found the need to in my journeys.

The Pump vent and cover plate have always sufficed with my setups.

Wonder why @mopowers felt the need to delete his posts? Found the first one he posted with link and pictures actually helpful.
Oh well :wtf:

Just something that can be done to eliminate possible misdiagnosis of leaks coming from the bell housing

which I have and as it turns out I’ve got other problems. Time to upgrade to better and more frictions, and a complete inspection. Too much horsepower and torque, drag racing and hot rodding around has taken it toll on my plates, frictions etc. Vent relocation is the least of my worries:rolleyes:
