a833 reverse prob

When i try to engage reverse sometimes it won't go in. Just makes a rattling noise. When i can engage it often jumps out of gear when i release the clutch. Anyone any ideas?](*,)

Have you tried adjusting the clutch??or shifter linkage??If not this might help.

Getting reverse for 1st move can be troublesome for any manual trans. If you'll get any forward gear and ease out the clutch just enough to rotate the trams internal parts, this will align the syncronizers, then it shoud drop right in reverse. The poping back out problem is probably linkage adjustments.
