I have already purchased the billet servo and piston kits, and Kevlar bands. going to get started soon. I found the servo spacers? what is their purpose? and if needed with using a performance shift kit or valve body installed? since have the billet servo need at all? not sure anyone used them and why?

they are Oregon transmission products web site... look like big flat washers that are thick... various sizes..

They block the spring action of the servo for firmer shift apply, and the different thicknesses are so you can adjust the servo free play.

clicked on 14 pages of Oregon 904 parts...never saw a servo shim....how about Thrust Washers?...post a link...

well...as they say...you learn something new everyday...never had seen them before.

found a site showing if valve body modified, I think was for a transbrake, get rid of the spring all together and use shims to assemble up to shim to ad snap ring in.

for a 727 or 904?

we got 3 transbrakes in 904 and don't shim the servo...if we are talking about the rear servo...it is a billet solid one piece

L/R band servo in 904 and 727's.
Obviously solid servo's don't need them, as it is a shift kit mod for the factory spring dampened servo.

yeah...i shimmed the servo in my TA brake that i used for a few months in a 727....before I converted to the 904 with a Tranzact Brake back in 1993...LOL
