I am removing my 225 slant six and replacing it with a 360/325 HP v8. Can I still use my A904 transmission? The car will be a driver, not used for racing. Also, what about using the stock 7 1/4 rear end?

No, you need a V8 tranny.
/6 , small blocks and big blocks all have different bell housings and starter locations.

As yellowdartdave said you cant bolt up a /6 904 to a V8. However , it is my understanding that you can use the 904 converter from the /6 tranny on a 904 V8 and achieve from 1800-1900 stall speed. I was going to say that 904 V8 trans are easy to find until I saw that you are from Nova Scotia. I have no idea on the availability of them there.
The 7 1/4 will probably work for cruising and everyday use but you will probably blow the spider gears after getting on it hard or doing burnouts.

And while you're at it, it's more than a "V8 tranny." The torque converter you use must have the balance weights for the 360, so if you buy a 318/340 Torqueflite, be aware of the difference in torque converters.

So the torque converter must be from a 360, or you must buy an aftermarket flex plate with the balance weights on the flex plate

The transmission must be from a 273, 318, 340, or 360 passenger car, or I believe, 2wd pickup.
