Yup... going to see AC/DC in New Jersey after work tonight. My first time and from what I heard about last week's show in NYC I'm in for a treat.

Full review sometime tomorrow.... :-D

man i saw them about 10 or 12 years ago. they do put onn a nice show. brian johnson is harder to understand in concert though , but still well worth seeing. i am intrested in angus this year. his health seems to have declined to me. maybe it is just age related but he looks to have slowed alot. have fun!

I hope it is a good show. I've seen them two other times.

I am going Friday to Columbus, Ohio to see them. I can't wait.

Have Fun!

Have a great time John

For what AC/DC does, they were awesome! They put on a great rock-n-roll show. They play about 5 songs from the new album, Black Ice, and the rest of the show was a roledex of their hits.... almost everything you'd hope to hear (no Sin City....GRRR! ) And that's all I'll post about the show. I know some of our members are going to be seeing them and I don't want to spoil any surprises. It was a good show indeed! 8)

The opening band, The Answer, was actually pretty good. If you can, don't blow them off as just the opening act. This is how and where tomorrows talent comes from, and these 4 young guys from Belfast had a decent sound. No ground-breaking material... but a good, tight, polished act. In otherwords, commercially sell-able. Their debut album comes out in Feb.

It was an enjoyable night out with a interesting observation: The audience was either under 20 or over 50. Hardly ANY middle ground!

so how did angus look? his head bob has all but stopped from what i had seen recently. hell i would have a migrain doing that anyway. glad to see them back out again.

Angus looks like a 50-something year old guy having the time of his life. Hairline receeding....pastey-white skin.....and not as athletic looking anymore.... but he WAS the show. Still a great showman and good player.

that is cool to hear. man i always thought angus and his brother were the real glue of the band. did you know that there is another brother as well..i forget his name as he is older i do belive.....clive maybe?

sorry it was george young. there are also 5 others! forgot about them.

The show is awesome. I won tickets for a secret final rehersal concert October 26th in Wilkes Barre Pa when I preordered the Black Ice Cd from their website. I already had tickets to see them in Philly for Nov 17th because the show in Wilkes Barre for Oct 28th was sold out, so bonus two for one deal! Both shows were awesome, I hope it won't be their last tour.

Wow, sounds like you had a great time. I would love to see them again. The last time was ... 1979, Day on the Green, Oakland Coliseum, Oakland CA.

BTW: I just checked the tour schedule and they are appearing at the Oracle Arena (the old Oakland Coliseum/Arena) on 12/2 & 12/4. The only issue is that the tix are ranging from $180-$1873/ea. That would go along way on the cars so hearing about it from all of you will have to suffice.

I saw them sometime in the early eighties. At the time I was making extra money working nights at the Hampton Coliseum unloading the trucks of whatever acts would come. I got to see AC/DC like that as well as Ratt and Neil Diamond. AC/DC rock! They used cannons even back then......better bring earplugs for those. Scared the s**t out of me and I expected them. John you`re smack on about opening bands. They are a big part of what makes up the future of music. I saw SRV open for Huey Lewis, Brian Adams open for the Kinks, Primus for Rush, The band Elf (an early Dio led band) for Uriah Heep, Van Halen for Journey, and REO Speedwagon for at least half a dozen more bands. Many of those bands went on to become great on their own.

I hope angus comes out of the ceiling on a bell tonight in Columbus!

Actually I hope the snow stops so I can get down to Columbus.
