Nobody liked procomp/Speedmaster heads until half the forum bought them...
Now I'm seriously considering a Coldmaster ac kit... Based out of Florida they answered the phone quick and seemed friendly with helpful suggestions...
I think I'll try calling again tomorrow with a few other questions...
I know these are universal kits and NOT car specific... They don't come with a compressor bracket or r134...
    Here is what was recommended...

    What could go wrong...lol...

looks like it will get some cool air blow'n, just make sure your alternator will support all of what you got going on.... electric fuel pump, etc etc , now A/C

Actually the electric fuel pump draws next to nothing and beyond that I just have the ignition and the radiator fan is actually what draws the most... With that said I think I have is 63 amp or so alternator now and when I look at any of the other alternators 80 amp or a hundred amp the really don't come on and get that kind of amperage till your well over two or three grand... Tomorrow I should be getting a new yellow top optima battery which is a hybrid deep cycling... It seems like any heavy draws I occur are at low RPMs...

It says the condenser fan draws 6 amps which ain't nothing and I can only imagine the blower inside the interior isn't going to be a high amp deal either..

I have a 2 groove Drive pulley that I only use the inside grove for the water pump and alternator. My plan is to use the outside groove on the drive pulley to run the compressor down in the power steering pump area.. since I don't have a power steering pump... I want some kind of turnbuckle system like I have for the alternator so I can easily pop the belt off when needed...

The price is sure right. The knee knocker ac’s like that were very common back in the day. Interested to see how it works out. Seems like there are Sanden brackets available, which would be the hardest part.

So far my idea for a bracket for the compressor is my usual bracket thoughts.. maybe get some old power steering brackets and get those mounted onto the engine and other places to attach to hopefully in the power steering area.. then of course make some brackets that attach to the compressor and then cut and hack and Mary the two brackets together in some kind of fashion that has adjustability...
I know I have the two lower timing cover bolts on the driver side, the two long bolts opposite of the alternator bracket and I could flip an old alternator bracket over to connect to those, and I do believe I have a head bolt hole available as well...

Looks like they have some nice brackets and for what they are relatively reasonable prices.
Unfortunately I have no interest in having my compressor front top Center...
when I looked at their big block application that was more what I was thinking about. They kind of use what looks like the small block alternator bracket on the driver's side power steering pump area...
I'm pretty much feeling like I want to make the bracket anyways not only to save money but to have a one-off kind of place to put my pump... I like the idea of it down low out of the way and semi-hidden..

Yeah i would go custom but i like saving money anywhere i can. The slant kit for me looks like it might save alot of headache.

I think fabrication and learning is one of my favorite things to do on my car and of course as most people now my car is my hobby. I have an entire Nitrous system setup that I've never used yet more so just for the learning how to do it... Making a little brackets for this and that...
In my mind it comes down to paying somebody to have the fun...:realcrazy:.. lol...

I think Hemidenny was making some compressor brackets to mount it low. I remember reading a thread about that.

Hard to make out the pic - is the compressor pulley a single groove? If it's two, be assured you will need both and plan accordingly.

I used basically same thing you have pictured, for my compressor bracket i pulled it from a 1986 ramcharger at pull-a-part, had NAPA make my hoses, also pulled the 3 groove pulley off the crank ,only issue was the original 74 alternator was different, so i had to buy a new alternator. The underdash unit on mine is 16 inches wide, and 15 inches deep, it sticks our from under the dash about 4 inches farther than the original ac vents

yes I looked at the pictures and it was partially done I believe and it had a mass variety of other bracket tree going on with power steering and other things. This is just going to be more of a singular bracket for non power steering.. kind of a hot rodders down and dirty AC...
it's not going to be real fancy connected to all the vents and hidden in the car. It may hang down from the passenger side and just blow out... A simple on-off switch and a simple Hi-Lo off blower switch.. with a crap ton of BTUs to cool a un-insulated car...

It's a double pulley on the pump but I was just planning to use one. I do believe I can get a 3 groove Drive pulley if need be..
