Ok so I have been searching and trying to find out with no success what hoses to use. I have found kits they include #6, #8 and #10 size hoses. I have no problem buying all three but how do I know which one I need to use from each location?

Can anybody help with the routing? Like I know I go from the rear of the compressor to the condenser then through the expansion valve to the drier then to the in of the evaporator out of the evaporator to the front of the compressor. I am not totally sure of that nor do I know what hose size to use for each routing.

Subscribed.

I can't offer any information to help but it might help others if you would post some pictures of what you have so they can accurately give you the information for sizing.

Depends a lot on the car, AC installed, and how correct you want to be. The bigger hoses are on the suction side of the compressor, because that is vapor flow. The small hoses are on the high pressure side, especially after the condenser where it is liquid flow (from condenser, thru filter/drier, to expansion valve). HP hoses are usually 1/2" ID to match the 1/2" OD tubing (if I recall). Of course you need metal fittings that match your compressor, condenser, etc. and that may limit your hose size selection. Many dealer-installed AC (like mine) didn't use any tubing, just hose w/ barbed fittings at each under-hood component. Works, but metal tubing is better.

I will be able to provide some pictures tonight of what I have. Right now I have the Compressor(RV2), Condenser(Aftermarket Aluminum) and Expansion Valve. I still need a drier and evaporator.

The fittings on the condensor, dryer, evap, and compressor will tell you what goes where. The 6 size only goes to 6, 8 to 8, and 10 to 10. Not to difficult to figure it out, but if you have a buddy with ac, that would help visualize, also some body here might have pics to help out.

the fittings on the intake and outlet on the compressor require a special fitting. dont forget the expansion valve either. i believe you can order a universal hose kit from summit that comes with the special crimper tool required. ill try and get you some pictures tonight to show at least the inlet and outlet off the compressor. after that im fabbing my lines and i dont think i can help. sorry.
