Adam-12

On the B body side we had a discussion on whether they ever drove a 67.

They did- in the pilot.

Interesting because I also believe the pilot Emergency had a 71 "squad" but the series used a 72.
Just as much visual difference between those as the 67 to 68 B body.

I have been watching Adam-12 lately, so many cool late 60s early 70s cars in the back ground.

It's like "where's waldo" but with cars.

Not to mention some street scenes that are familiar having grown up in the area.
I've probably watched every episode over the last several years and love seeing "old" new muscle cars and cars of the day. If you look carefully, you'll see the same cars in a lot of the pre-staged shots. It's the background film when their driving around that has some of the coolest vehicles in the background.

My good friend Jim has a squad car. We both do car shows and at least once a yr someone will say to us there’s Pete and Jim

Also a Pair of '67-'69 A Body Cuda Convertibles in season 2 - one had a luggage rack on the trunk!

Also the engine truck changed a few times.

Big time.

The early 1970's were a time of incredible change for fire/rescue in America.

Open cab trucks to square AC cab, as illustrated above.

I remember we got "attack pumper" trucks that were 300 series 4x4 pickups.

...and Ohio's version of EMT- "Box-21".

Still not sure what that stands for.
