Have purchased two sets of these dam.... things and have yet to get the triangle bracket to fit. Bottom hole is off by half a bolt diameter. One set from Mancini the other from 521 Restoration. Both sets are identical. Does anyone have a supplier that makes this product that will fit. Awaiting call from Bouchillon. Has anyone experienced this issue. I almost want to swap to 68 water pump and use early 273 bracket. Will the bracket for A/C work? I'll try that. Don't think I should have to butcher up new product to fit. Especially something so simple. Jeff

They are a bit fancy for what I'm in need of. I had looked at them earlier as well. This Bouchillon outfit. Ever heard of them?

I have the CVF, its a nice unit and I used it to mount a Denso alternator too if you ever upgrade.

Bouchillon is a reputable source. I have one of their Power Steering lines too.

I bookmarked the CVF. Like you said, nice unit just does not reflect the stock look.

That is the only issue you if that's what your looking for. You can get black anodize now so that can at least hide the look some.

Might be better than what I'm going through now. Blown $100.00 on two sets I won't use.

A/C brackets are different. They hold the alternator in a different spot to where it won't line up with the crank and water pump pulleys.

Thanks for keeping me from making mistake. Looks to me I'll try my luck on someone else for alternator bracket. Why is this so difficult. I hate making returns and usually don't.

U need an alt bracket? 70+ and 70 down are 2 different styles. You using oem style heads? You need matching pulleys as well. It dominoes quickly.

Yeah, that bracket doesn't look right. I always thought those brackets were flat, or, am I thinking of the P/S bracket?

I do not have power steering on this car thankfully. Did look at my PS reservoir/pump bracket and it is much more complicated.

If it was me, I would cut that corner off, take some mild steel of the same thickness and using some cardstock, make a paper pattern for a new corner that is a bit larger, grind the edges to be welded at 45* and butt weld from both sides, drill a hole and your done.
