I'm not sure if I'm in the correct thread. I need To get my factory air cleaner painted on my 1971 Demon 340. I'm currently painting the dashboard and noticed the paint may be the same or at least similar on both. The paint for the dashboard is Satin Black. Is it the same for the air cleaner. Thank you everyone.

I’m not sure about under hood durability yet, but I’m painting everything with SEM trim black from now on. It looks amazing on my dash frame, and fender support rods. I was thinking about trying it on a few under hood brackets.

Powder is another option.

What about wrinkle finish? That’s what Chrysler put on them.

Totally agree. I think Semi Gloss or Satin Black are about my favorite colors. Almost nothing looks better than brackets and suspension parts that have been freshly coated. Plus, years from now, that powder coated finish will still look great. Over the years, I have probably used more Semi Gloss Black that any other powder color. Send it to Cuda Chick, and you will not be sorry.
