Whats the best solution for a nice performance air cleaner to run on an Edelbrock with an electric choke?
We just tried a nice K&N, but the choke body fouled on the air cleaner base.
What has everyone else used?
The motor is a 418 stroker, with a pos knock off air gap. In an Aussie assembled '70 valiant hardtop. So we don't have too much height to spare.

The Edelbrock air cleaner's base is dimpled to go around their linkage and choke housing. You can always stick a K&N filter inside, that's what I did.

Thanks Brian.
I phoned a buddy of mine, who owns a speed shop today. He's going to send me a couple of different bases to try. A stamped steel one, and a spun aluminium one. It'll be nice to be able to use the rest of the K&N filter arrangement.

I think you can run a base that has a 3/4 drop. Any more and it will hit the choke.
