Thanks Mike. That's what I do on engine side. I mentioned on the air cleaner itself does it matter on it what one of the 2 shown it goes on. Is it a one way in / one way out check Vavle or doesn't matter?

Now that I don't know. Let me see, who here is an expert at air cleaners? Should there be a hose from the other port to the diaphragm that actuates the door?

Yes, one from I assumed engine vacuum to one and other one goes to door. Just wondering if it can be put on wrong way. If anyone can put it backwards I can. And I never checked it might even be backwards day. That would surely do it all hope of it being done right would be out the window

I put "trap door air cleaner" in search. [FOR SALE] - 1972 340 Trap door air cleaner

Engine vacuum goes to the T fitting. Vacuum keeps the trap door shut till u lean on the loud pedal. Kim
